Video: Jay-Z Remembers 9/11 and What it Was Like the Day “The Blueprint” Dropped

Jay-Z was caught at a Jets game cheering for the hometown team in their win this past Sunday against the Cowboys. During an intermission, he briefly spoke on that memorable day of September 11, 2011 when his album The Blueprint was released amidst the tragic events. He tells the story of being in Los Angeles at the time and turning on the TV and thinking it was an “apocalyptic movie” as the horrific images played in real time.

The “Watch The Throne” tour kicks off next month in Atlanta, GA at Philips Arena and will continue through the month of December.
